Sundance 2016 in Park City Utah brought me in from the cold with its’ exciting dialogue in Faith, Money, and Film a subject close to my artistic heart since the Mega Money God concept work by David Mega fit in very well with this theme and made for some interesting street film footage in Park City. Also this year’s film festival saw the biggest payout of 17.5 million for the film “Birth of a Nation.” It brought home to all film makers everywhere the knowledge that the desire to create can lead to financial nirvana. The huge endeavor that is the Sundance Film Festival means two weeks of monumental hard work behind the scenes of the this small western town. A community dedicated to art and good living. It is home to the Kimball Arts Center, numerous successful galleries, many city art projects, the Friends of the McPolin Barn, and excellent ski resorts that are dedicated to a lifestyle filled with creativity, excellence and fun. Make sure you are well prepared for snow, people, long days and nights, talking film, art, technology and snow to make sure your Sundance experience tops your list. I do recommend taking a break from film viewing to partake of the exciting work of the local western artists that call Park City

home because of the wealth of visual material available just looking out the back door. A quick thank you to Gallery MAR for a terrific smorgasbord of art during Sundance. A feast for the soul!
