What better way for Spring to arrive then with inspiration and a feeling of gratitude for life. How? you say. By accepting an invitation to visit Kenn Morgan’s last Sabbatical exhibition at Renner Gallery, Bethany College on Leap Year Day 2016.
Kenn is not only a dear best friend but I consider him one the extraordinary talents in art for our generation. His “Maryam” works that we were privileged to see have reverence, love and respect for his subject matter and his craft. The National Geographic issue December 2015 says it best with the statement: “Mary the Most Powerful Woman in the World”. Kenn has certainly captured the essence of her power with the art presented in this exhibition. Perhaps it is all those many magical trips to the Vatican, Rome, Florence Italy that Kenn has taken, or his fervent collection of religious artifacts that Judy has so lovingly preserved, or the high density teaching of the old masters of Italy to Bethany students over the years, but whatever it has been that has offered the inspiration for the work, we are eternally grateful.
