Originally founded as Mega National Gallery in 1997, MFA is the culmination of almost 30 years in the art business. The Principal of MFA, Sherry Mega-Claybourne, owned and managed Mega National Gallery with an emphasis on using technology to advance art. A presence on the web was started in 1998 with www.meganationalgallery.com being created as an online gallery to display the artwork of David John Mega. During this time she also expanded services to include “art in residence” projects, international Plein-Air groups, and multiple student art exchange programs. Beginning in 1992 Sherry started traveling extensively to enhance her knowledge of current trends in the art world, which included visits to major venues in Germany, England, France, Italy, and throughout the United States. A seasoned veteran with nearly 30 years of experience in the art world which includes curatorial gallery exhibitions, provenance research, and organizing art festivals and receptions. She has also maintained a strong presence in the local arts community through board service and other activities which included serving as a curator at the Wheeling Artisan Center.
With 35 years of accumulated experience Sherry Mega-Claybourne is no stranger to the world of business and finance. Though originally hired by a regional bank for marketing she was quickly promoted into management and is very knowledgeable about the financial world.She also co-founded the Golddot Company in 1998, which focused heavily on the utilization of traditional Asian styles for modern art design, and traveled throughout Asia. In 2012 she decided to bring all of her art and business experience together into one company, Mega Fine Art International, in order to enhance and enrich peoples lives through art. Most recently she expanded services to include art research for private collections, art design consulting for both private individual and corporations, and looks forward to finding new ways to keep art alive for future generations. |
